Leap Seconds

Leap seconds are necessary because the earth is slowing down. This is not a problem if the earth is only a few thousand years old, however if the earth is millions of years old, the earth would have been spinning so fast it would have distorted the shape of the planet! Below is a list of Leap Seconds added to the World Clock because the earth is slowing down!
